WWE Announces Dates for NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Special for This April

Tuesday’s NXT show featured WWE officially announcing that this year’s NXT Spring Breakin television special will be taking place later this month.

It was announced that this upcoming two-week special will be taking place on April 23rd and April 30th on USA Network.

One match was also announced for the card of this upcoming special.

This was announced to be a NXT Championship match of Trick Williams vs. Ilja Dragunov (c) with the stipulation of if Williams fails to win the NXT title, then he must leave NXT. It was not announced which night this upcoming match will be taking place.

Josh Briggs Suffered Cracked Ribs Injury at NXT Stand & Deliver 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured the official announcement of Josh Briggs had suffered an injury at this past Saturday’s NXT Stand & Deliver 2024 event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

NXT announcer Vic Joseph stated that Briggs suffered two cracked ribs during his match against Dijak and Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship at the event. No other details were given regarding Briggs injury status and potential return timetable.

Current Card for April 16th NXT Show

WWE announced four official matches for the card of next week’s NXT show on April 16th.

These matches were setup during promos and other segments throughout the show.

One of the matches announced was a Steel Cage match of Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams, which was setup following Hayes ambush attack on Williams at the end of Tuesday’s show and him revealing Williams won’t make it to Spring Breakin 2024 since he will take care of him in a steel cage.
