WWE NXT Spring Breakin Week 2 Results – April 30, 2024

Quick Match Results

  1. NXT North American Championship – Oba Femi (c) defeated Ivar via Pop-up Powerbomb (pinfall)
  2. Thea Hail defeated Jacy Jayne via Kimura Lock (submission)
    • Near the end of the match, Jazmyn Nyx attempted to attack Hail on the outside while the referee was distracted. This led to Fallon Henley pushing Hail away and getting hit with a Pele Kick kick by Nyx in return. Hail went back into the ring and locked in a Kimura Lock to Jayne for the submission victory.
    • Following the match, Henley got into the ring to celebrate with Hail only to reveal that this was a ruse and laid out Hail with a forearm. Henley left the ring leaving the rest of Chase U in shock over what just happened and walked past both Jayne and Nyx.
  3. The O.C. (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows) defeated Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igwe via Magic Killer (pinfall)
    • Gallows pinned Dupont after The O.C. hit their double team Magic Killer finisher to give The O.C. the victory.
  4. Ridge Holland defeated Shawn Spears via Redeemer DDT (pinfall)
  5. NXT Tag Team Championship – Axiom & Nathan Frazer defeated Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) via Roll-up (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Final Testament’s Karrion Kross & Scarlett attempted to interfere resulting in both getting tossed from ringside by the referee. While the referee was distracted, New Catch Republic came out from the crowd and attacked Rezar leading to Axiom rolling up Rezar for the pinfall victory to retain the NXT Tag Team titles for his team.
  6. Women’s NXT Underground match – Lola Vice defeated Natayla via Ref Stoppage
    • Near the end of the match, Natayla locked a Sharpshooter on Vice who tried to get out of the hold to no avail while getting closer to tapping out from the pain. This led to Shayna Baszler attacking Natalya’s training partner in front of Natayla resulting in Natalya letting go of the Sharpshooter and laid out Baszler on the outside in return. Natalya got back into the ring only to be quickly laid out from a backfist by Vice who followed it with a series of strikes to the head resulting in the referee stopping the match and awarding Vice the victory.

Trick Williams Teases Trick Williams Hiding Big Deep Secret at Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Week 2 show featured Lash Legend teasing that Trick Williams is hiding a deep secret from everyone.

During the show, new NXT Champion Trick Williams came out to the ring. Williams talked about his NXT title victory last week against Ilja Dragunov and thanked Dragunov for what he did for his career and NXT. Williams stated that he wants Dragunov to do his thing on RAW now. Williams then stated that this is the start of a new era and he proclaimed it to be as the “Whoop That Era.” Williams stated that they will make history.

Before anything else could happen, Meta-Four’s music played interrupting Williams and Legend made her way alone to the ring holding an envelope in her hand. Legend congratulated Williams for his title victory and stated that Williams is the hottest superstar in NXT and the entire NXT Universe is rocking with him. After some back-and-forth non-PG innuendoes banter between the two, Legend stated that she has something for Williams, which she hinted to be inside the envelope. Williams responded asking if it is something to autograph. Legend responded back telling Williams to enjoy his NXT title run now because soon it is going to come crashing all down and things are going to get really, really hot. Legend proceeded to leave the ring while Williams reacted with a concerned look over what Legend has said.

In a follow-up segment, Meta-Four were seen leaving the venue and were quickly stopped for an interview in the NXT parking lot. Legend was asked what she had meant earlier to Williams and her envelope. Noam Dar responded stating that Williams is invited to his Supernova Sessions talk show next week and everything in the envelope will be revealed.

Wes Lee Makes Surprise Return at Tuesday’s NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Week 2 Show

Tuesday’s NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Week 2 show also featured Wes Lee making his surprise return from injury to WWE’s NXT brand.

Following Oba Femi’s victory over Ivar to retain his NXT North American Championship, Femi’s victory celebration was quickly cut short by Lee’s music playing interrupting him. Lee came out from the crowd and leaped from the barricade to the steel steps and went into the ring to confront Femi. The two engaged in a staredown in the ring while Femi lifted up his NXT North American title in front of Lee.

This was Lee’s first appearance in WWE since this past December due to a back injury and back surgery.

Fallon Henley Turns on Thea Hail & Chase U at Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Week 2 show also featured Fallon Henley turning heel and attacking Thea Hail.

During Hail’s match against Jacy Jayne, Hail was sent to the outside leading to Jazmyn Nyx attempted to attacking Hail while the referee was distracted with Jayne in the ring. Before Nyx was able to hit Hail, Henley shoved Hail away and got hit with a Pele Kick in return.

Following Hail’s victory over Jayne, Henley went into the ring to celebrate with Hail. This turned out to just be a ruse by Henley, who attacked Hail and laid her out with a forearm strike. Henley then left the ring as the rest of Chase U were shocked over what happened and looked at Jayne and Nyx before leaving to the back.

Inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champ to be Crowned at NXT Battleground 2024

Tuesday’s NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Week 2 show also featured the announcement of the NXT Women’s North American Championship will be officially debuting at NXT Battleground 2024, which takes place on June 9th at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the show, NXT General Manager Ava came out to the ring and talked about this year’s WWE Draft and several NXT talents being drafted to the main roster. After some more words, Ava stated that NXT will be crowning their first ever NXT Women’s North American Championship at this June’s Battleground 2024 event at the UFC Apex. Ava stated that this new champion will be determined by a multi-women ladder match at the event. and starting with next week’s show, there will be a combine and the twelve NXT talents who impress the most will be in six qualifying matches with the winners advancing to the ladder match.

Before Ava could say anything else, Jaida Parker came out to interrupt and claimed that she will be in the match. This Sol Ruca coming out to interrupt and make her case why she will be in the match, followed by Arianna Grace and Michin each doing the same right afterwards. Grace told Michin that it pains her to relay the news that Michin is disqualified from this match, which led to Michin punching Grace in return and a mass brawl breaking out after more of the NXT Women’s locker room came out and brawled in the ring.

Chelsea Green Makes Surprise NXT Return at Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT Spring Breakin 2024 Week 2 show also featured Chelsea Green making her surprise return to NXT.

Following the Women’s NXT Underground match on the show, Roxanne Perez was seen in NXT GM Ava’s office and talked about how neither Natayla nor Lola Vice can touch her and asked why she was even here in the office. Ava responded stating that she is going to tell Roxanne who her next opponent for her NXT Women’s Championship will be and that this match will be taking place at next week’s show. This led to an upset reaction from Perez and Green showing up right afterwards revealing her to be Perez’s opponent.
