Triple H Comments on 2024 WWE Draft Taking Place in a “Month or So”

A recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast featured WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Levesque revealing that WWE will be holding this year’s WWE Draft in about a “month or so.”

Logan Paul – “Do you think I could move from SmackDown to Raw when Raw goes to Netflix?

Triple H – “I’m sure we’ll see people float all over places. There’s a thing called, in a month or so, there is a thing called the Draft. That’s when you can switch around and make moves.

Last year’s WWE Draft took place on the April 28, 2023 episode of WWE SmackDown and May 1st episode of WWE RAW.

Giulia & Rossy Ogawa Reportedly Backstage at Friday’s SmackDown Show

As noted before, former Stardom talent Giulia was seen in attendance at this past Thursday’s WWE World at WrestleMania fan event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Giulia and former Stardom owner Rossy Ogawa were in attendance backstage at Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Philadelphia.

In regards to the potential reason for Ogawa’s visit, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the current belief from his sources was that Ogawa would be having talks soon with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque for a potential partnership deal with Ogawa’s upcoming new promotion.


More on NXT Viewership for April 2, 2024

The April 2nd episode of WWE NXT saw NXT gain a large increase in overall viewership, a small increase in key demographic ratings, and a slight increase in key demographic rankings.

NXT drew 641,000 viewers and a 0.20 key demographic rating on USA Network. NXT’s key demographic ranking was 8th place.

Detailed key demographic viewership breakdowns were not available in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Dave Meltzer reported that the main reasons for NXT’s gains this week was due to the large gain from their overall key demographic viewership group, which was up 16.8% compared to last week’s show. This reportedly offset the stiff sports competition that night from NBA and NCAA NIT basketball games.

In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the NBA game of Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Philadelphia 76ers drew 979,000 viewers on TNT, the 2024 NCAA Men’s NIT Basketball Tournament game of Utah State vs. Indiana State drew 1,029,000 viewers on ESPN, Vanderpump Rules drew 946,000 viewers on BRAVO, The Valley drew 718,000 viewers on BRAVO, Curse of Oak Island drew 2,443,000 viewers on History Channel, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta drew 325,000 viewers on MTV, and Little People Big World drew 941,000 viewers on TLC.

In terms of key demographic viewership, NXT had 264,000 viewers. Meltzer reported that NXT’s males/females viewership skew was 66.7% in favor of males.

In terms of yearly comparisons, NXT was up 15.5% in overall viewership and 56.2% in key demographic viewership.
