As noted before, Eddie Kingston suffered a leg injury that was later confirmed to be a broken leg at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Resurgence 2024 event earlier this month in Ontario, California.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that he had recently spoken to Kingston to get an update on the status of his injuries.
Johnson reported that Kingston had informed him that besides a tibular fracture, he had also suffered tears to his ACL and meniscus in his right leg.
Johnson also reported that while Kingston had originally hoped to make a potential in-ring return by this August’s AEW All In 2024 event, Kingston is now expected to be out of action for around nine months following surgery on his leg. This reportedly would keep Kingston out of action until at least January of 2025.
When asked for comments about his injury situation, Kingston stated:
“This is part of the game. Injuries happen. I will be back.”
