As noted before, Eddie Kingston suffered a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn meniscus injuries at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Resurgence 2024 event earlier this month in Ontario, California.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that he had contacted Kingston earlier today to get an update on his current injury status and recovery.
Johnson reported that he was informed by Kingston that he had met with surgeons today but due to the nature of his injuries, he will likely not be undergo surgery to repair his ACL and meniscus tears until this July at the earliest.
In regards to his tibular fracture, Kingston stated that he had been advised by his doctors that he will initially have to wait for his fracture to heal and do some physical therapy before surgeons can repair his knee.
In regards to his potential in-ring return timetable, Kingston stated that he will likely be out of action for at least ten months before he will be able to return to the ring. Johnson reported that this would place his potential in-ring return at May 2025 baring any recovery setbacks.
Kingston also gave his thoughts about his injury situation stating:
“Not mad. I don’t give a f***. it’s what happens when you wrestle. Just gotta get f**king better.”
