As noted before, Jim Ross was hospitalized on Thursday in Norman, Oklahoma due to him suffering shortness of breath health issues. Ross’ travel and commentary status for this Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2024 event was believed to be in doubt.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ross had informed others that he will not be able to travel to Las Vegas this weekend for AEW’s upcoming event in the city. Ross reportedly had also stated that he is currently dealing with a Class A flu and raised heart enzymes along with his breathing issues.
Meltzer reported that Ross currently expects to be fine in a few days from his current health ordeal.
Ross provided an update Thursday evening on Twitter stating that he will be quitting smoking after his latest health issue.
I do and I’m quitting. https://t.co/Kh2TgWHwm7
