“Speedball” Mike Bailey TNA Contract Status Update

As noted before, TNA Wrestling talent “Speedball” Mike Bailey revealed in a recent interview with Sports Illustrated that he is currently in a “contract year” with TNA.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Bailey’s current contract with TNA runs through the end of 2024. It was reported that Bailey’s contract does not feature an option year unlike with other talents currently signed to the company.

It was reported that should Bailey enter free agency, he is currently expected to have interest from multiple promotions, including TNA itself, for a potential new deal.


MLW News & Notes

Major League Wrestling reportedly is currently working on plans to hold a potential event in Toronto, Canada in the future, according to PWInsider.

MLW recently announced that Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre General Manager Salvador Lutteroth will be making an appearance for the company at their Azteca Lucha event on May 11th in Chicago, Illinois.

MLW also recently announced that they will be partnering with CMLL for their upcoming Lucha Apocalypto event on November 9th in Chicago.

MLW also recently announced that Bobby Fish is the next official competitor for this year’s Battle Riot match at their Battle Riot VI event on June 1st in Atlanta, Georgia.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

Thursday’s TNA Impact! show featured the announcement of Havok being out of action for an “indefinite” amount of time following her suffering an “injury” at the hands of Ash By Elegance at their Rebellion 2024 event last week.

The National Wrestling Alliance reportedly is currently working on plans to revive their NWA Mid-America Heavyweight Championship at their Back To The Territories event on June 1st in Knoxville, Tennessee, according to PWInsider. Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that NWA officials current plans are for the NWA Mid-American Champion to travel and defend the newly revived title across NWA affiliated territories.

Maple Leaf Wrestling filed a trademark for “Grand Prix Wrestling” on May 6th for merchandise-related purposes. Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert reported that the address listed for this filing is the same address of Border City Wrestling, which is run by former TNA President Scott D’Amore.

As noted before, former WWE wrestler Daniel Rodimer is currently facing charges of murder over the death of a 47-year-old man at hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada this past October. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Rodimer issued a plea of not guilty to the charges against him on May 8th before a Las Vegas court based on recent court records.

As noted before, former MLW talent Teddy Hart was arrested this past July over a speeding incident resulting in him being charged for with possession of MDMA and possession of a controlled substance without prescription. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a second bench warrant that was issued against Hart in Florida was recently recalled based on court records. Johnson reported that the official reason for the warrant’s recall is currently not known. Johnson also reported that Hart currently does not have any additional court dates scheduled.
