Naomi defeated Chelsea Green via Clutch Roll-up (pinfall)
- Prior to the start of the match, Bayley came out alongside Naomi and Piper Niven came out alongside Green to be in their respective corners.
Santos Escobar defeated Apollo Crews via Roll-up (pinfall)
- Prior to the start of the match, Legado Del Fantasma’s Angel, Berto, & Elektra Lopez came out with Escobar to be in his corner.
- During the match, Baron Corbin ran out and attacked Angel and Berto at ringside in revenge of Legado’s disparaging words and embarrassing him in front of SmackDown GM Nick Aldis earlier in the show.
- Near the end of the match. Angel & Berto got into a brawl with Corbin at ringside while Crews went to the top rope only to get pushed off by Lopez while the referee was distracted. This led to Escobar catching Crews in a roll-up for the pinfall victory.
Nia Jax defeated Michin via Annihilator (pinfall)
- Prior to the start of the match, Tiffany Stratton came out to ringside and joined the commentary table for guest commentary.
- Near the end of the match, Jax and Michin were outside of the ring leading to Stratton getting up from her seat and tried to confront Michin only to get punched and sent flying over the announcer’s table. This led to Michin being distracted long enough for Jax to attack her and sent her back into the ring to hit an Annihilator for the pinfall victory.
Solo Sikoa defeated Kevin Owens via Samoan Spike (pinfall)
- Prior to the start of the match, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis informed Sikoa that Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa were not allowed to come out with him since he has banned them from being at ringside over their attack to the Street Profits earlier in the show. This led to Paul Heyman warning Sikoa that if he lost to Owens tonight, then he could lose his “leadership position of men who did not respect leadership in the first place.” Sikoa responded that if he loses, then he is coming after Heyman leading to a shocked reaction from Heyman.
- Following the match, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa ran out and attacked Owens leading to Randy Orton running out to save Owens and laid out The Bloodline.

New Uncle Howdy QR Code Teaser Airs at Friday’s SmackDown Show

As noted before, WWE currently has plans for Bo Dallas and the Uncle Howdy character’s return to the company.

Friday’s taped WWE SmackDown show featured a new video teaser for Dallas and Uncle Howdy’s upcoming return to WWE. During the show the screen glitched and flashed a new QR code. When scanned this leads to an updated countdown clock and a set of deleted files each leading to a different drawing.

In regards to the countdown clock, this clock is set to reach zero during the first hour of next week’s WWE RAW show on June 17th.

AJ Styles Calls Out Cody Rhodes for Being a Quitter for Every Promotion He’s Worked During Promo Battle at Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s taped WWE SmackDown show also featured a heated promo battle between AJ Styles and Cody Rhodes ahead of their upcoming Undisputed WWE Championship match at Clash at the Castle 2024.

During the show, Rhodes came out to the ring and did his typical “so what do you want to talk about” routine to the Glasgow crowd. After some words and insults by Rhodes directed towards Styles, Styles’ music played and came out with The O.C. by his side. Styles responded stating that Rhodes is really all worked up about this and how it was funny that it was this easy to get you worked up. Styles stated that all he had to do was claim he was going to retire and you got worked up. Rhodes responded asking Styles why he is so far away and they were supposed to have a conversation and told him to leave “Horace and Jasper” and come into the ring, which Styles agreed to do.

Styles then got into the ring and stated that they are nothing alike and how it took him 17 years to get to WWE. Styles stated the idiots don’t want the truth and they welcomed you with open arms and couldn’t wait to make you a star. Styles claimed that when it got tough, Cody quit WWE. Styles then stated that Cody also quit New Japan, Ring of Honor, and that “company” you helped start. Styles stated that Cody can’t handle the pressure and when the going gets tough, Cody Rhodes gets going.

Rhodes responded stating that Styles is right and he has made some big decisions in his career. Rhodes stated that he walked away from WWE, he walked away from New Japan, he walked away from Ring of Honor, and he walked away from a company his friends started. Rhodes stated that he was never afraid to leave for something better and he did not quit but gambled on himself and he was right. Rhodes stated that if he quit, he would not be holding the most important title in the game and he would not be the WWE Champion.

After some more banter between the two over who will get to make the other say “I Quit”, Styles stated that he will do whatever it takes to get that championship. Styles stated that if it means turning you into a bloody pulp or rip you apart, then I will make you want to say “I Quit.”

Randy Orton Makes Surprise Return at Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s taped SmackDown show also featured Randy Orton making his surprise return.

Following Solo Sikoa’s victory over Kevin Owens in the main event, The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa ran out and attacked Owens. The Bloodline then attempted to put Owens through the announcer’s table only to be stopped by Orton making his surprise return and laid out Tonga, Loa, and Sikoa and cleared them out of the ring.
