Mauro Ranallo Returning to Wrestling as Lead Announcer for Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling

Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling announced that they have recently signed former WWE announcer Mauro Ranallo as their new lead announcer.

It was also announced that Ranallo will be making his official debut for the company at their upcoming Forged In Excellence events on October 19-20 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

MAPLE LEAF PRO is proud to announce that iconic Canadian combat sports announcer Mauro Ranallo is going to be the Voice of MAPLE LEAF PRO!

Mauro’s broadcasting career began in Western Canada with two of Canada’s legendary promotions, All-Star Wrestling in Vancouver and Stampede Wrestling in Calgary. He then moved on to announce for almost every major MMA promotion including PRIDE FC, Strikeforce and Bellator as well as being the voice of many of the biggest boxing events over the last few decades.

To pro-wrestling fans, of course, Mauro is known as being the voice of New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2015-2016 and for his four years as the lead announcer for NXT and SmackDown! in WWE.

The only match this life-long pro-wrestling fans has called since leaving WWE in 2020 was a one-off as play-by-play for AEW’s Kenny Omega vs TNA’s Rich Swann at TNA Rebellion in 2021.

MAPLE LEAF PRO is very excited to welcome an institution to our announcer’s desk. You’ll hear Mauro’s voice in all our promotional vignettes, commercials and match previews and then he’ll be there in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on October 19th and 20th from the first bell for both nights of MAPLE LEAF PRO’s Forged in Excellence LIVE on Pay-Per-View exclusively on TrillerTV!
