Update:
Thunder Rosa provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that Dave Meltzer’s report of her being medically cleared from her concussion injury is not true. Rosa stated that when she is medically cleared, she will announce it.
“STOP LYING ABOUT MY HEALTH. Whoever gave you this information is ABSOLUTELY WRONG! I’m NOT CLEARED AND WHEN I AM I WILL ANNOUNCE IT.
If you need information ask me directly….
As noted before, Thunder Rosa has been out of action for AEW since the end of this past August due to a concussion injury. Rosa had stated in an interview with the Busted Open Radio podcast earlier this month that she is currently expecting to be out of action for a “little bit, for a couple of weeks.”
While it is currently not known exactly when Rosa had suffered the concussion injury, it is currently believed to have happened during her Four-way match against Serena Deeb, Queen Aminata, and Hikaru Shida on the August 31st AEW Collision show due to that being the most recent match she wrestled.
Rosa made her first appearance since suffering her injury at a San Diego Padres baseball game on September 21st as part of the team’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations that day. Rosa threw out the ceremonial first pitch for the game.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Rosa was recently medically cleared for an in-ring return to AEW.
