As noted before, WWE dropped all of their plans for Brock Lesnar’s potential return to the company due to his involvement in the current Vince McMahon sex trafficking lawsuit. Lesnar has been absent from WWE since their SummerSlam 2023 event in August of 2023. WWE COO Paul “Triple H” Levesque had stated in an interview with the Daily Mail this past July that WWE would be open to the idea of Lesnar potentially making his return to the company.
Rumors of Lesnar’s potential upcoming return to WWE recently flared up online following his “The Beast” nickname being referenced during this past Monday’s WWE RAW show.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that the recent rumors of WWE officials planning for Lesnar to make his return to the company soon are not true.
Sapp reported that any reports about Lesnar was under consideration to be brought back to WWE television were denied on a “high level” within the company. Sapp also reported that no word on the actual status of Lesnar was given in any official capacity.
In regards to if WWE officials have had any creative plans for Lesnar’s potential return, one source spoken to reportedly stated “There are no creative plans in place for Lesnar, and if conversations have occurred, we’ve not been briefed on that.”
One source spoken to within WWE’s creative team reportedly stated that it would be surprising to see Lesnar back in the fold amid the current investigation into McMahon’s lawsuit accusations.
Sapp reported that WWE officials has sought to remove Lesnar from their WWE 2K25 video game, reduce merchandise sales involving Lesnar, and limit his name being mentioned on television except for situations where it could not be avoided.
