As noted before, WWE RAW brand ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced on Monday that she has left WWE.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that their sources stated that the reason for Irvin’s departure was due to issues between Irvin and WWE officials over the two sides not being able to come to terms for outside music projects.
Meltzer reported that Irvin had been thinking about wanting to focus more on her singing career for about a year.
Bryan Alvarez reported that Irvin currently has some outside music projects she wants to do and she was unable to come to terms with WWE over how it would work with her WWE ring announcing job and made the decision to leave the company.
Meltzer responded stating that Irvin just wanted to get more involved in her music career and this had been something she had talked about for a long, long time and simply decided to pull the trigger for it.
In regards to a potential joining AEW, Meltzer reported that Irvin currently does not have any plans to join AEW any time soon nor is it her current intention for her post-WWE career.
Irvin clarified a report from PWInsider’s Mike Johnson about her departure situation on Twitter stating that she had given her notice to WWE several months ago and WWE officials were not caught off guard over decision.
