As noted before, The Lucha Brothers’ Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract with AEW had been originally set to expire between this past August and September while Rey Fenix’s contract had been originally set to expire this past September. Penta’s contract is now believed to be expiring within this month while AEW recently added almost a full year’s worth of injury time to Fenix’s contract.
Figthful Select reported that their sources stated that Penta’s contract with AEW is currently set to expire next week and he is expected to be leaving the company baring any sudden drastic changes.
It was reported that Penta is expected to have interest from WWE once he become available on the market and several indie promotions also are currently hoping to be able to book him for their shows.
In regards to Fenix, Fenix reportedly still is not expected to be leaving AEW at the same time as Penta due to him still having a lot of injury time left on his contract.
