Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre announced one new match for the card of their co-promoted NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event, which takes place on January 5, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
This new match announced was an Eight-Person Lucha Gauntlet match of TBA (NJPW) vs. TBA (CMLL) vs. TBA (NJPW) vs. TBA (CMLL) vs. TBA (NJPW) vs. TBA (CMLL) vs. TBA (NJPW) vs. TBA (CMLL).
It was announced that competitors will be entering the match at one minute intervals each and the winner to be the first person who gains a pinfall.

Also set for Wrestle Dynasty is a special NJPW vs CMLL lucha gauntlet match. In this matchup, up to eight participants, four from New Japan and four from CMLL, will enter the ring at one minute intervals, and the first pinfall will end the bout. Who will be in this dramatic and high speed encounter?”
