As noted before, Kenny Omega will be making his in-ring return at AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s upcoming co-promoted Wrestle Dynasty event on January 5, 2025 in Japan. Omega has been out of action since this past January due to diverticulitis and surgery.
Fightful Select reported that one source spoken to stated Omega’s return to AEW is now expected to take place “sooner rather than later.”
Those spoken to reportedly stated that Omega was planning a return to AEW before leaving for Japan on either January 1st or 2nd.
Omega reportedly is also currently expected to be at NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 19 event despite him not being publicly booked for the event.
In regards to AEW, it was reported that the current “active plan” is for Omega to be at this Saturday’s Worlds End 2024 event in Orlando, Florida. Omega’s involvement for the event reportedly is currently not known.
