As noted before, Malakai Black was believed to be recently finishing up with AEW and he is expected to leave the company and return to WWE. Black’s House of Black group in AEW recently disbanded and formed into a new Hounds of Hell stable with Julia Hart, Buddy Matthews, and Brody King.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Black’s contract with AEW expired on Sunday and he is currently a free agent.
Johnson reported that following his expired contract, AEW had removed Black’s profile from the roster page on their official website
Johnson also reported that Black is still expected to return to WWE as the next likely destination for the future of his wrestling career.
Prior to his departure, Black had been with AEW since July of 2021.
