Josh Alexander Comments on There Were Talks Regarding NXT Appearance During His Time in TNA

As noted before, Josh Alexander’s contract with TNA Wrestling is currently set to expire on February 15th and he will be entering free agency.

Straight Talk Wrestling held a recent interview with Alexander. One of the topics discussed included Alexander’s thoughts about how there had been talks for him to make an appearance in WWE’s NXT brand as part of TNA and WWE’s current working partnership but those plans fell through.

“I will say that there was one certain situation where I was supposed to go that did not happen. There was maybe two other situations where I was asked to go and it got shut down for whatever which reason that wasn’t my own doing. No hard feelings on my end.”

Alexander also gave his thoughts about some of the possible ideas that he could have explored in NXT.

“The North [could’ve] reunited for one night only. Or I went one-on-one with Ethan Page in some capacity just because of all the history we have together. But there was a lot of stuff thrown at me at certain times … The timing wasn’t there.”
