In a series of tweets on Saturday on Twitter, MVP denied recent rumors that The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Shelton Benjamin, & Bobby Lashley) have refused to put over other talent in AEW.
“So I open up Twitter to see lies being reported about The Hurt Syndicate. BLATANT LIES!!! Who is the source of these lies? To the contrary, we wanted to work with younger talent! We wanted to drop the tag titles BACK to Private Party!!! STOP BELIEVING THE BS!”

In a response to a recent episode of Figthful’s The Hump podcast about Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp saying he doesn’t know the exact reason for The Hurt Syndicate’s abscesses from AEW television and how there has been talk within AEW about situations of them not wanting to put over others, MVP responded stating:

In response to a user who claimed that a Swerve Strickland vs. Bobby Lashley rematch wasn’t happening due to “creative differences” and implying it was due to MVP and The Hurt Syndicate having backstage heat, MVP responded stating:
“Rumor? Nah man. You are absolutely Wrong!!!! None of this is true. But now I know where this whisper campaign is coming from! 😉”
