Lexis King Announces New Rules Changes for NXT Heritage Cup Title on Tuesday’s NXT Show
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Lexis King proclaiming that NXT Heritage Cup title matches will now be held under new rules going forward.
During the show, King came out to the ring with his Heritage Cup trophy. King talked about him being crowned the NXT Heritage Cup Champion and how he could be humble but won’t and how William Regal reached out to him to show him who he is. After some insults directed at Ryan Leaf for being a bust in the NFL, King stated that he does not take advice and he doesn’t do well with authority. After some more words boasting about himself and talking about his late father Brian Pilliman, King stated that he was his best when he was his father’s son. King then talked about how the Heritage Cup had been mistreated for far too long and announced that he is going to change the way this title will be defended. King stated that gone are the meaningless rounds, ill advised cornermen, and time limits. Instead, the Heritage Cup will now be held under one fall, winner take all.

JDC Makes Surprise Appearance on Tuesday’s NXT Show
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured former WWE and current TNA talent JDC making a surprise return appearance to the NXT brand.
During Lexis King’s in-ring promo segment about him embracing his father’s legacy and changing the rules for NXT Heritage Cup Championship matches, the music of Fandango played to interrupt him.

This led to JDC coming out and after some back-and-forth banter between the two, JDC stated that he had talked with NXT GM Ava and next week King will be defending his Heritage Cup title against him on next week’s show.

New Mystery Group Teaser Videos Airs on Tuesday’s NXT Show
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured three new new cryptic videos teasing a new mystery group debuting at for WWE’s Vengeance Day 2025 event on February 15th in Washington, DC.
During the show, Trick Williams was seen backstage for an interview with Sarah Schreiber who asked Williams if he has already talked with Oba Femi about their tag team match later. Williams responded stating that they don’t need to talk strategy and he needs to show why he deserves the title match, not Theory and Waller. Williams stated that he will drop their “bitch asses” and told Femi that he hasn’t forgotten about him. Williams then left as the screen behind Schreiber flashed a transmission message of “Vengeance Day.”

In a follow-up segment, Sarah Schreiber interviewed A-Town Down Under backstage as they were making their way out for their tag team match against Williams and Femi. After some disagreements over which of them will become the new NXT Champion at Vengeance Day, Grayson Waller and Austin Theory got back on the same page and continued their walk out to the stage. As they passed by a television monitor, the screen briefly flashed showing the same transmission message from earlier.

In another follow-up segment, another cryptic video teaser aired following A-Town Down Under’s victory over Williams & Femi and Eddy Thorpe’s post-match attack on Williams with a strap. This new video featured four mysterious people shown in the shadow as the show went to a close.

Cora Jade Splits from Roxanne Perez on Tuesday’s NXT Show
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Cora Jade officially ending her partnership with Roxanne Perez.
This was initially setup following last week’s show over Perez blaming Jade for why they lost their tag team match against Bayley & Giulia and being happy that she got included in the NXT Women’s title match at Vengeance Day 2025 and didn’t care about Jade not being included. This led to Jade being upset at Perez and stormed away.
During tonight’s show, Perez, Bayley, and Giulia held an in-ring promo summit about their upcoming Triple Threat match for the NXT Women’s title at Vengance Day 2025. This led to Charlotte Flair coming out to interrupt and after some words boasting about her being the greatest ever women’s wrestler and NXT having the greatest women’s division and her promising she will win gold at WrestleMania 41, Jade ran out from teh crowd with a kendo stick and laid out both Giulia and Bayley. Perez then tried to play nice with Jade and asked for a hug only for Jade to take a swing at her and Perez scrambling out of the ring to safety.

“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans Set for Vengeance Day 2025 with a Catch
Tuesday’s WWE NXT show featured one new match announced for the card of WWE Vengeance Day 2025, which takes place on February 15th at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington, DC.
This new match announced was a singles match of “All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans. This match was also announced to come with a catch of it will only take place if Evans is medically cleared in time for the show.
This match was intitally setup following recent weeks of bad blood issues between Page and Evans. During tonight’s show, Page and Evans were seen backstage with NXT GM Ava and being separated by security. Ava talked about how this was the second time Evans had gotten involved with Page despite not being medically cleared. Ava stated that she has to suspend Evans for his own good. This led to Page responding stating that he wouldn’t suspend Evans but he would punish him and put them in a match together tonight. Ava responded stating that they will meet at Vengeance Day if and only if Evans gets medically cleared.
