AEW Reportedly Currently Working on Plans for New Faction for Mercedes Mone

AEW reportedly is currently working on plans for a new faction led by current TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, according to Fightful Select.

Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that one source spoken to stated that AEW officials current plans are for Mone to be paired up with The Renegade Twins, Robyn & Charlette Renegade.

This same source reportedly also stated that the reason for the plans for Mone to be aligned with the Renegade Twins is to give them a boost in the women’s division while also having Mone go in a different direction creatively.

Sapp reported that Mone, the Renegade Twins, and others backstage have been pushing the idea for a new faction for some time. Sapp also reported that everyone involved is currently excited to be on board with the direction and are also enthusiastic about working together.

Mone most recently faced off against Robyn Renegade in a match at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This match was notable for the post-match confrontation and brawl between Mone and Athena that involved Robyn moving Mone out of harms way and took an Eclipse from Athena that was meant for Mone.
