As noted before, Swerve Strickland revealed during the post-show press conference following Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2025 event in Los Angeles California that he had suffered a ruptured eardrum injury during his match against Ricochet on the show. Besides Strickland, Stardom talent Momo Watanabe was also believed to have suffered a potential ankle injury during her match against Mercedes Mone.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that their sources provided updates regarding the injuries situation for several talents following AEW’s event.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that nobody had suffered any serious injuries but multiple wrestlers are “banged up.”
Meltzer also reported that neither Kyle Fletcher nor Will Ospreay were seriously hurt from their Spanish Fly spot off the top of the steel cage but Ospreay was seen limping after landing on his hip.
In regards to Strickland’s eardrum injury, Meltzer reported that those spoken to confirmed that he had suffered a busted eardrum injury during his match against Ricochet.
In regards to the TBS Championship match, Alvarez reported that those spoken to confirmed that Watanabe had suffered an ankle injury and was seen walking on crutches when she left the venue. Alvarez also reported that Mercedes Mone had suffered a bruised larynx injury but she seemed to be largely okay backstage after the match.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources confirmed that Watanabe was seen on crutches backstage after injuring her ankle.
Johnson reported that those spoken to also confirmed that Ospreay was seen limping backstage after his steel cage match but had no heard of him suffering any official injury.
