Stephanie Vaquer Gives First Speech as NXT Women’s Champion & Her Reason for Joining NXT

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured current NXT Women’s and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer making her first speech since winning the NXT Women’s title.

During the show, Vaquer came out to the ring with both of her championship belts. Vaquer first talked about how this is difficult for her because English is not her first language but wrestling is her first language and these titles prove it.

Vaquer stated that she could have gone to any promotion or brand but she chose NXT to make history and be on the top of the best women’s division in the world. Vaquer stated that last week she proved, against one of the best, why she is La Primera. After some more words, Vaquer stated that she is waiting for her first opponent for her NXT Women’s title to step into this ring and look her in the eyes.

This led to Jordynne Grace’s music playing and her coming out to ringside. After some words by Grace, Jaida Parker ran out and attacked Grace laying her out.

Parker then got into the ring and after some words, Parker stated that she is not waiting to Stand & Deliver to make her point. Parker talked about how Vaquer won’t be a double champion for long and how she is looking at her next opponent and be careful what you ask for.

In a follow-up segment, Vaquer was seen backstage with NXT GM Ava in her office. Ava told Vaquer that her match with Parker will be taking place on next week’s show. This led to Fallon Henley showing up to interrupt and demanded to be given her rematch for the title that she has been asking for some time. This led to some bickering between Henley and Fallon that ended with Vaquer agreeing to also face Henley for her NXT Women’s North American title next week as well.

Mystery Group Reveals Their Name as “Darkstate”

In recent weeks shows a mystery group of masked people have been showing up and attacking others in NXT.

During tonight’s NXT show, this mystery group attacked Tony D’Angelo backstage as D’Angelo was watching a monitor of the 6-Person Mixed Tag Team match of the D’Angelo Family vs. The Culling.

In a follow up segment, the mystery group was seen coming out of the venue and was stopped in the NXT parking lot by an unseen interviewer about their attack on D’Angelo tonight. Dion Lennox talked about how they heard they had to earn their spot and how they didn’t wait for it. Cutler James talked about how they are four game changers. Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin talked about how Darkstate strike, nobody is safe and they made their statement. They stated that they vowed to make it again tonight and proceeded to re-enter the building.

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured three new matches announced for the card of next week’s show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

These matches were setup following promos, storyline angles, and match card graphics throughout the show.
