A recent episode of the Way of the Blade podcast featured AEW CEO Tony Khan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included host Phil Schneider and Khan announcing that AEW will be holding two co-promoted Dean Rasmussen tribute events with ACTION Wrestling this May and September.
These events will be held in tribute to Rasmussen from the DVDVR (Death Valley Driver Video Review) website who passed away in 2023.
These upcoming events will be follow-ups to the first tribute event held by ACTION Wrestling in April of 2024.
The first of the two co-promoted events, DEAN~! 2, will be taking place on May 24th at the Scottsdale Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The second of the two co-promoted events, DEAN~! 3, will be taking place this September at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Khan announced that they are currently working on an official date for this upcoming event but it will be sometime around ROH’s Death Before Dishonor 2025 event that month.
It was also announced that both upcoming tribute events will likely be airing on Ring of Honor’s official YouTube channel and tickets for both events will be free.
Besides AEW and ROH talent, it was announced that 1 Called Manders, Tom Lawlor, Gringo Loco, and Mad Dog Connelly will be making appearances for both events.
