As noted before, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan held a talk with London mayor Sadiq Khan this past July in London, England about the potential for a future WrestleMania event taking place in the city.

The Mayor’s office released an official statement earlier today stating that Khan still remains committed to bringing a future WrestleMania event to London.

“Building on London’s success, the Mayor has talked up his ambition to bring more of the biggest sporting events in the world to London. Sadiq has expressed his support for a bid for the Olympics and Paralympics to return to London in 2040, while he remains committed to making London WrestleMania’s first international destination. The Mayor is also in positive discussions with the NBA to bring games back to the capital, which is supported by the work of his Basketball Taskforce, while the 2029 World Athletics Championships is another target.”

Levesque had stated in an interview with Daily Mail earlier this month that logistics issues are currently a big hurdle for WWE holding a potential WrestleMania event overseas in the future.
