- Nigel McGuinness’ accepted FTR’s challenge for a tag match at Double or Nothing 2025. McGuinness will be teaming up with Daniel Garcia against FTR at the event.

AEW held a new television tapings for AEW Collision on Wednesday at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
This taping will be for this week’s Collision Beach Break 2025 episode on Saturday, May 17th.
This taping was held after AEW’s Dynamite tapings that night in the same venue.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, one new match was announced for the card of Double or Nothing 2025 on May 25th at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona. This new match announced was an AEW World Tag Team Championship match of The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) vs. The Hurt Syndicate (Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley) (c). This new match was setup following The Sons of Texas defeating Cru in a #1 Contender match.

- Megan Bayne defeated Harley Cameron
- Tony Schiavone was in the ring as the host for the Steve “Mongo” McMichael tribute segment. Mongo’s wife Misty came out and stated that he was the most special man ever in her life and he made his imprint in football and pro wrestling. Dean Malenko was the next to come out for the tribute ceremony. Schiavone proceeded to talk about all of Mongo’s football and pro wrestling career accolades. Schiavone then brought up how May is ALS Awareness month. Ric Flair was then brought out and talked about him wanting to say Chicago is one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world. Flair talked about how he lost the World title to Ricky Steamboat here and the fans have never stopped being as loud as they were that night. Flair then stated that tonight AEW was giving them a chance to have a moment to celebrate Steve McMichael. Flair then gave his praise of McMichael and thanked everyone for honoring him. After some more words in honor of McMichael and his battle with ALS, Flair thanked AEW and Tony Khan for letting him honor McMichael.
- ROH World Champion Bandido, Tomohiro Ishii, & Brody King defeated Don Callis Family (Rocky Romero, Trent Beretta, & Lance Archer). Following the match, the Don Callis Family attacked Bandio, Ishii, & King leading to The Outrunners running out for the save.
- “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Blake Christian. Following the match, Bailey grabbed a microphone and challenged AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada to come out and face him. Okada came out but this led to LFI’s RUSH & Draltsico attacking Bailey and laid him out instead.
- Chicago Street Fight match – The Learning Tree (“Bad Apple” Bryan Keith & Big Bill) defeated Gates of Agony (Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun)
- AEW World Tag Team Championship #1 Contender match – The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) defeated Cru (Action Andretti & Lio Rush)
- Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wheeler Yuta. Following the match, Marina Shafir attacked Hobbs leading to Willow Nightingale running out to make the save.
