Paul Wight Confirms He’s Still with AEW & Praises Tony Khan’s Leadership Style
A recent episode of Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge podcast featured Paul Wight as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Wight providing an update on his current status with AEW and his praise of AEW CEO Tony Khan’s leadership style for the company.
“I am still with AEW. I’m still very happy with AEW, very happy with Tony Khan and what he’s doing. I think there’s a lot of couch bookers out there that always have the best ideas on what should be done. They’re not the worst, because everybody’s entitled to their opinion. I appreciate Tony and the way he treats his talent, and the kind of liberty that Tony gives talent to discover themselves and find themselves. It’s not a cookie-cutter process in AEW; they’re not saying, ‘This is your ring entrance. This is how you pose. This is what you wear.’ AEW is very grassroots, authentic. For me at this stage of the game, I appreciate that.”

Sammy Guevara Comments on Trying to be Smarter About His Ring Style Now That He’s A Dad
PWInsider held a recent interview with Sammy Guevara. One of the topics discussed included Guevara’s thoughts about him trying to be smarter about his in-ring wrestling style for his body now that he is a father.
“When I first became a dad, I said I’d take it easier… and then every match after that, I was jumping off ladders through tables. But yeah, I try to be smarter about it now. Wrestling is a high-risk game, especially with my style. You have to ask yourself: when is the risk worth it? This Sunday, it might be.”
Will Ospreay Comments on Online Criticisms Over How He Dresses on AEW TV
A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Will Ospreay as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s thoughts about his promo segment with Hangman Adam Page at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show.
“Thank you, man. Once again, I have not been so confident in my microphone technique. It’s been a lot of practicing and looking in the mirror and just trying my best to do this. There are certain times when I wish I reined it in a little bit but, I think this is just getting my reps in and learning how to do this side of the job. But, I’ll be honest with you, I was really proud of what I was able to do there. I think we really sold the pay-per-view. I mean, the numbers say itself. I think the tickets are nearly sold out. So the fact that we was able to put a little bit more emphasis on how important this match is is just something that I’m just extremely proud of.”
Ospreay also gave his thoughts about the online criticisms he has received over how he dresses on AEW television and his belief that his attires make hm look more relatable to fans.
“It’s essential (to be honest with the audience). For me, I think the more I show vulnerability and the more — I know that one of the criticisms I get, not just about my hair, but like… dressing appropriate for the role I wanna be as one of the top guys and I do understand that to an extent. But I feel like more of the authentic that I dress, the more that people relate to me. I’d just done an interview over in a news studio… I feel like because I am dressed in a certain way, I look way more presentable. Like, I come down a level and it’s more of like I’m way more humble, I’m way more approachable in that sense and I think that’s the reason a lot of people have gravitated more towards me in that sense.”
