Sting on Him Having a Great Time During His AEW Run
ScreenRant held a recent interview with Sting. One of the topics discussed included Sting’s thoughts about his career in AEW and the concerns he had over fans thinking he was just coasting on his reputation at first.
“It was just a highlight, the last three years. I didn’t want wrestling fans to say, ‘Yeah, he’s just coasting along because he can.’ I didn’t want fans to say that. I wanted them to go, ‘Oh, man, he’s pulling out all stops all the way through to the end.’ It was fun! It was fun going through tables. It was fun jumping off a balcony. It was just great, man, and surrounded by all these great young guys, young talent. An amazing run, and I’m so grateful for it.”
Saraya Comments on Turning Down a “Love Storyline” with Daddy Magic in AEW
A recent episode of the Rulebreakers with Saraya podcast featured former AEW talent and host Saraya giving her thoughts about if she had ever turned down stuff in WWE and AEW and how she turned down a romance storyline in AEW.
“Daddy Magic, they wanted me to do a love story line with him, and I’ve managed to go on my whole career without doing a love storyline, and I wasn’t gonna start. They were like, ‘No, all he’s gonna do is kiss you.’ I had a boyfriend at the time, and I was just like, ‘I can’t do it, you guys. I just can’t do it.’ So I turned down that. There’s not really anything storyline-wise else I’ve turned down. It’s just like, if I have to kiss someone and I have a boyfriend, I just don’t think it’s appropriate. I’ve never really had like them come up to me and be like, ‘What do you think of this? You want to kiss somebody today?’ I’ve never had that until I got to AEW. Then they were like, ‘Can you kiss Daddy Magic?’ I love Daddy Magic, good guy, but I just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t do it.”

Will Ospreay Comments on Him Hating The Hard Cam & Camera Cuts and How AEW Can Learn from NJPW’s Presentation for Matches
The Daily Star held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s thoughts about the differences between New Japan Pro Wrestling and AEW and his dislike of the hard cam and camera cuts usage for wrestling matches.
“The pacing is a lot different. AEW has found itself in a position with TV wrestling where the foot is on the gas pedal constantly. With New Japan, it’s more explosive. They take those short bursts of explosivity, which makes the match that little bit more dramatic. When it comes down, it’s all about the emotion and the exchanges and going blow-for-blow with guys that make their matches way more meaningful. The one thing AEW can learn from New Japan is presentation. The way they present their wrestling show is leaps and bounds over any wrestling show going. I’m very much along the lines that I don’t like camera cuts, especially during a sequence or impact of moves. I’m along the lines of…the name is AEW. All Elite Wrestling. If you’re signed to this company, that middle letter is very important. You’re an Elitist. You’re of the Elite in wrestling. If you miss a superkick or a splash, that’s on you. That’s not on the button pusher. I feel the button pusher’s job is to cover those marks. That’s not on [them]. Keep the action super tight with me. Keep the presentation in the ring. I hate the hard cam. I’ve always hated the hard cam. I hate the moment that it goes towards the hard cam in both mine and any other professional wrestling. The moment it goes to hard cam, I feel so detached from wrestling. I feel the cameras are ringside for a reason, so you can get any bit of emotion and drive. I love that style more.”
Rumor Killer on EJ Nduka’s Lack of Usage in AEW
As noted before, EJ Nduka’s contract with AEW and Ring of Honor recently expired and departed from AEW. Nduka’s lack of usage in AEW is currently rumored to be due to issues over AEW officials found it hard to put Nduka next to anyone without him outshining them physically.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources within AEW refuted the rumors of Nduka was not used because he would outshine those he was paired with physically.
