As noted before, Eddie Kingston has been out of action for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling since May of 2024 due to a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn meniscus injuries and surgery.
PWInsider held a recent interview with Kingston. One of the topics discussed included Kingston’s thoughts about his current recovery status and potential in-ring return.
“I am not there. I have started running in the ring. I am still doing physical therapy and I am mentally better. Yet again, as people know, it’s a struggle, but being able to be in the ring again and work out with PT and working out with Cezar [Bononi] is helping my mental health, let alone my body. I can finally feel the ball is moving in the right direction.”
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Kingston’s comments contradicts recent online rumors claiming that Kingston was ready to make his in-ring return very soon.
