More on Friday’s Talent Releases from WWE, Cora Jade, Jakara Jackson, & Gigi Dolin Comments on Their Releases

As noted before, Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, and NXT/NXT EVOLVE talents Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, Eddy Thorpe, Jakara Jackson, Riley Osborne, Gallus, Oro Mensah, and Javier Bernal were all released from WWE on Friday.

Fightful Select reported that Baszler, Strowman, Kai, Carter, and Chance will all have 90-day non compete clauses as part of the terms for their releases. It was reported that it is currently not known if any of them had been notified that their contracts would not be renewed instead which would mean a different potential date for their free agency.

In regards to Kai, it was reported that their sources stated that Kai has already gained interest from other companies and top agents in pro wrestling. Kai reportedly is currently expected to have plenty of offers for her next potential contract.

In regards to Baszler, those spoken to reportedly stated that Baszler had been helping out at WWE’s NXT recently and her release was something that was a big surprise within the brand.

In regards to Dolin, Jade, Gallus, Jackson, Thorpe, Bernal, Mensah, and Osborne, it was reported that they are all currently under 30-day non compete clauses due to NXT contracts having a shorter time period for releases.

In regards to Jackson, it was reported that several within WWE’s NXT brand knew that Jackson’s release was coming due to her being split from Lash Legend at this past Tuesday’s NXT show.

Following their releases, Jade, Jackson, and Dolin all commented on social media about their releases from WWE. Jade also revealed that she will be going by her former ring name of Elayna Black going forward for her post-WWE wrestling career.
