As noted before, Thekla was “fired” from Stardom at this past April’s All Star Grand Queendom 2025 event and she is currently expected to be heading to AEW for the next destination in her wrestling career.
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Detroit, Michigan featured an image of a red and black spider being shown multiple times during the AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator Four-way match between Thunder Rosa, Penelope Ford, Anna Jay, and “Timeless” Toni Storm. Thekla’s nickname in Stardom was the “Toxic Spider” leading to online speculation of this mystery teaser being for her official debut in the company.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Thekla had been planning a move to the United States for some time and had recently signed an official contract with AEW. It was reported that this contract had been in the works for quite a while before being finalized.
It was reported that WWE officials had shown interest in Thekla during their international scouting efforts last year.
It is currently not known when Thekla will be making her official debut in AEW.
