Jeff Cobb Makes Surprise Appearance at WWE Backlash 2025

Saturday’s WWE Backlash 2025 event at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri featured former New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Jeff Cobb making a surprise appearance and official debut in WWE.

Near the end of the WWE United States Championship Fatal Four-way match between LA Knight, Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre, and Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa showed up and pulled Fatu off of the announcer’s table as Knight was setting up to hit an elbow drop from the top rope. This led to Knight confronted Sikoa at ringside only for him to be attacked by a mystery person in the crowd. This person was quickly revealed to be Cobb who leaped over the barricade and continued his attack on Knight. After Fatu got up to his feet, he looked on puzzled over this new guy being with Sikoa and then got back into the ring to finish off Knight to retain his title.

Following the match, Sikoa and Cobb started to walk off together and stopped for Fatu who brushed them off being unhappy over them getting involved in his match and walked away on his own. Cobb gave a smirk to Fatu as Fatu was leaving.

WWE Night of Champions 2025 Set for June 28th in Saudi Arabia

Saturday’s WWE Backlash 2025 event also featured the official announcement of this year’s Night of Champions event taking place on Saturday, June 28th in Saudi Arabia.

It was also announced that week’s SmackDown show on Friday, June 27th will also be taking place in Saudi Arabia.

This will be the first time that WWE will be holding a Night of Champions event since 2023 and the second event in a row that it will be taking place in Saudi Arabia.

CM Punk Appearance Set for Monday’s WWE RAW Show

Saturday’s WWE Backlash 2025 event also featured one new segment announced for the card of next week’s WWE RAW show on May 12th at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

This new segment announced was CM Punk making an appearance on the show.
