Kevin Owens Neck Injury & Surgery Status Update – Owens Still Yet to Undergo Neck Surgery
As noted before, Kevin Owens has been out of action for WWE since this past April due to a neck injury. Owens was pulled and replaced with current TNA World Champion Joe Hendry for scheduled match against Randy Orton at this past April’s WrestleMania 41 event as a result.
Owens provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that he still has yet to undergo surgery for his neck due to him still exploring options for the best way to approach his injury situation.
“Hey guys. So I haven’t been around in a little while and I know a lot of people are wondering what’s going on with my neck and the neck surgery and all that stuff so I figured I’d take today to update you all… So, first, we don’t have a surgery date yet. I have not had surgery yet. Despite reports that are contrary. We’re still gonna try and figure out what the best way to go about it all is, exactly what needs to be done. So we’re kind of figuring that out still. So, there’s a lot of uncertainty but hopefully in the next few weeks, we get clarity and we do the surgery and then we go from there …
I don’t know what’s happening with my neck. So, we’ll figure it out.”
Watch it.

John Cena Comments on It was “Very Cool” to Close Out 25 Year Rivalry with Randy Orton at Backlash 2025
Entertainment Tonight held a recent interview with John Cena. One of the topics discussed included Cena’s thoughts about him closing out his 25 year rivalry with Randy Orton in WWE at Backlash 2025 earlier this month.
“On the WWE side, we’re just taking it one at a time. We did our last one in St. Louis. I had my last match with Randy Orton, and that was pretty cool to kind of put a close to that 25-year rivalry. So as every chapter happens, it’s a different feeling for everyone.”

Doc Gallows Comments on Good Brothers “Felt So Stagnant” During Latest WWE Run
As noted before, the Good Brothers’ Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows (also known as Luke Gallows) were released from WWE this past February as part of a larger batch of talent releases.
A recent episode of the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast featured the Good Brothers as the guests. One of the topics discussed included Gallows’ thoughts about the Good Brothers issues with their latest run in WWE and them feeling so stagnant during it.
“I’ve said this maybe even here but I’ve been saying it all day as we do media. The name of the show being (NJPW) Resurgence couldn’t be better because it truly is a resurgence for us and when we looked at the way the situation laid out, people ask us questions like it’s a negative. It was not a negative. Like, yes, he (Karl Anderson) was hurt. Yes, we got released. We had felt so stagnant and we were talking all the time like, ‘How do we get out of this? What do we do?’ So the way that it ended up and the way that the dates lined up because we both got on the phone and said, ‘We have to go to Japan. We have to work in Japan. We have to be in New Japan one way or another’ and our 90 days ends May the 8th and in Los Angeles, in Ontario, California which is 100 percent Good Brother town… It lined up perfectly. One day after the 90 days is up, there’s a New Japan Pro-Wrestling pay-per-view in California. There’s an opportunity for us to come in to reunite with The Young Bucks, to fight this new sh*t-talking version of the BULLET CLUB, the War Dogs, that remind us so much of us when we were starting out and forming the thing. It just couldn’t have come together more perfectly. Ultimately, we’re super thankful for that and probably more motivated and clear-headed than we’ve ever been.”
