Seth Rollins Explains Why Paul Heyman Turned on CM Punk
Monday’s WWE RAW show at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky featured Seth Rollins explaining why Paul Heyman turned on CM Punk and aligned with him.
During the show, CM Punk came out to the ring and talked about Heyman stabbing him in the back at WrestleMania 41 and how that was not the first time Heyman turned his back on him. After some more words, Punk stated that he can’t wait to get his hands on Heyman.
This led to Heyman coming out to the stage but before he could say anything, Punk proceeded to tell the “Penguin” to come down and berated him before he was interrupted by Rollins’ music. This led to Rollins coming out with Bron Breaker alongside him. Rollins grabbed the microphone from Heyman and talked about Punk being egotistical and how Heyman being Punk’s best friend only for Punk to make his life hell on the road to WrestleMania. Rollins stated that Punk is now trying to gaslight everyone by saying Paul betrayed Punk. Rollins continued stating that Punk makes him sick and Heyman had believed in Punk when no one else did. Rollins stated that Punk is trash and just when he thinks he couldn’t hate Punk any more, the man stands there as the reason he is not the World Heavyweight Champion. Punk responded stating that Rollins is never going to be champ as long as he is standing on his own two feet. Rollins responded back stating that Punk wants to play the victim and if he wants to die as a martyr, he believes that can be arranged.
Rollins then sent Breakker after Punk leading to a big brawl breaking out between Breakker, Punk, and Rollins that led to Sami Zayn and Jey Uso running out to save Punk and chase Rollins and Breakker out of the ring.
