Alexa Bliss Makes Surprise Return on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio featured Alexa Bliss making her surprise return to the SmackDown brand.

Bliss was revealed to be the mystery partner for Zelina Vega’s tag team match against the Green Regime’s Piper Niven & Chelsea Green that was setup earlier in the show.

This was Bliss’ first appearance since this past March.

Nia Jax Wins #1 Contender Match for WWE Women’s Title

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Nia Jax defeating Jade Cargill in a #1 Contender’s match for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Near the end of the match, Naomi ran out from the crowd and attacked WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton who was seated next to the commentary table. This led to Cargill getting distracted and Jax laying her out and followed it with an Annihilator splash for the pinfall victory.

As a result of her victory, Jax will be facing off against Stratton for the WWE Women’s Championship at a future show.

Berto Walks Out on Santos Escobar & Teases Breakup from Legado Del Fantasma

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Berto walking out on Santos Escobar and teasing him breaking up with Legado Del Fantasma for good.

During Los Garza’s tag team match against Andrade & Rey Fenix, Escobar got onto the apron to distract the referee when Fenix attempted a pinfall on Berto only for Berto to quickly counter and catch Fenix in a pinfall predicament. This led to the referee being distracted long enough for Fenix to break out of the pin and the referee just missing hitting the three count. After some more, action, Andrade & Fenix scored the pinfall victory over Los Garza. This led to an angry Escobar entering the ring and getting up into Berto’s face. This led to Berto getting more upset and shoved Escobar away and left the ring as Angel looked on bewildered over what just happened.
