Bryan Danielson Comments on “I Never Expected to Reach the Heights That I Did in Pro Wrestling”
Kiro News Radio held a recent interview with Bryan Danielson. One of the topics discussed included Danielson’s thoughts about if he ever thought he would be as successful as he has been in professional wrestling when he was younger.
“No. I had wanted to be a professional wrestler ever since I was in first grade, but I never expected to reach the heights that I did. My first 10 years of my career, I was at the independent level, and it was mostly wrestling in front of anywhere from 100 to 1,000 people. I’d go internationally, but I just figured that would be my whole career. I mean, I’m five feet, eight inches tall, 190 pounds. I’m not your standard professional wrestler.”
Nick Wayne Comments on Christian Cage Being “One of the Smartest People in Wrestling”
A recent episode of the AEW Unrestricted podcast featured Nick Wayne as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Wayne’s thoughts about working with Christian Cage and his belief that Cage is one of the smartest people in wrestling.
“I feel like he’s one of the smartest people in wrestling period. But for sure in AEW, he’s so smart in every aspect of wrestling. But specifically what he’s helped me the most with is promos and just talking and a lot of presentation as well. How to present yourself as something more and feel like you’re bigger. Really a lot in talking, and I’ve gotten really comfortable with it recently. Then just like verbiage and stuff as well. Again, presentation and even in talking. But it goes all the way down to in-ring stuff. After all my matches, I always tell him, like, please pick me apart. Like, tell me everything. So, yeah, I couldn’t have asked for a better mentor in this time that I’ve been under his learning tree.”

MVP Comments on Having 1 or 2 Years Left as In-Ring Competitor & Wanting to Do a Retirement Tour
A recent episode of the Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze podcast featured co-host MVP giving his thoughts about him wanting to do a retirement tour for his wrestling career.
“At this stage of the game for me, like, I don’t have to do it. I just still enjoy doing it. When I get to the point that I can’t do it effectively or if I’m taking baseball slide bumps, then it’s time to go. I plan on ending this run here pretty soon anyway. I want to have my last match. I want to have the retirement tour, let me go around, ‘Hey, this is the last time MVP will be wrestling in your city.’”
MVP also gave his thoughts about him feeling that he has another ten to fifteen years left in him as a manger in wrestling but only one to two years left as an in-ring competitor.
“I’d like to think I got maybe another 10 as a manager, maybe 15 depending on my age and health. As far as in the ring, I got like maybe a year or two left max, man.”
