Mercedes Mone & The Beast Mortos Confirm Relationship

TMZ Sports held a recent interview with Mercedes Mone who confirmed that she is currently in a relationship with The Beast Mortos.

Speculation of the two being in a relationship originated from a recent post by Mortos on Instagram that featured a photo of the two being together with the caption of “En tu brazos encuentro paz” which translates to “in your arms I find peace” in English.

In her interview, Mone described her new relationship with Mortos as being a “real beauty and the beast situation.”


Rumor Killer on Britt Baker Departed from AEW & Being Close to Signing Deal with WWE

Britt Baker has been noticeably absent from AEW since this past November.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the recent rumors of Baker having departed from AEW and being close to signing a deal with WWE are not true.

This rumor originated from former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman who stated in a recent episode of his Behind The Turnbuckle podcast that he was told “there’s a name, a female name, out there that is this close to signing with WWE.” In response to his co-host asking if this was Baker, Coachman claimed that it was and also claimed that Baker was “gone from AEW” and “got buried because she pushed back” in AEW.

It was reported that those spoken to confirmed that Baker has not left AEW and she is still under contract with the company. One WWE source spoken to reportedly stated that they had checked and while Baker was always welcome when she visits WWE shows but WWE officials have not talked about her coming to WWE in recent years.

It was also reported that it is currently not known if AEW officials have any creative plans for Baker nor when she might be making her potential return to AEW programming.

Anthony Bowens recently announced that his was the Grand Marshall for this year’s Dallas Pride parade on Tuesday in Dallas, Texas.

As noted before, Jay White has been out of action for AEW since this past April due to a broken hand injury. Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that White is currently believed to have signed a three-year contract with AEW which would mean that his contract might be set to expire at some point in 2025. Sapp reported that if injury time is added, then White’s expiration date for his contract could be pushed into 2026 instead.

Tuesday’s CMLL x AEW & ROH event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured Bandido defeating Mascara Dorada to retain the ROH World Championship. Following the match, Bandido offered an invitation for Dorada to join AEW and stated that he will have a talk with AEW CEO Tony Khan to try to make it happen. In response to the crowd booing Bandido’s announcement, Bandido stated that Dorada would still wrestle for CMLL in Mexico if he were to accept the offer.

AEW and Ring of Honor talent Diamante recently called out TNA Wrestling and Tessa Blanchard for using her intellectual property without permission over a now deleted video tweet from TNA. This video had featured Blanchard giving a promo and had the caption ” 28. Diamante. #TNAVIP.” Diamante responded back first posting a photo on Twitter of her official trademark for the “Diamante” name and in a follow-up tweet stated “Not sure, hope they cut the 💩 tho. I be real chill until I’m not.” Following the online backlash from both Diamante and fans over the controversy, TNA reposted the same video but with a new caption of “28. #TNAVIP.”

Trent Beretta’s mother Sue announced on Instagram that her son Trent recently got married over this past weekend to his partner Marlee.

AEW recently released a new AEW Timelines video on their official YouTube channel titled “Rise of a Protostar! The evolution of Kyle Fletcher with the Don Callis Family.”

AEW also recently released a new episode of Close Up with Renee Young featuring Mina Shirakawa as the guest.

AEW also recently released two full past matches to their official YouTube channel. The first new video was an AEW World Championship match of Jon Moxley vs. Chris Jericho (c) from AEW Revolution 2020. The second new video was a Trios match of Sting, Darby Allin, & Adam Copeland vs. The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch, & Nick Wayne) from AEW Full Gear 2023.

The Beast Mortos announced on Twitter that he recently passed his law exam and will become an official lawyer in a few months. In a recent interview with the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Nick Wayne gave his thoughts about his segment with Swerve Strickland and AR Fox in an episode of AEW Dynamite in 2023 involving Strickland and Fox visiting his later father’s Buddy Wayne’s training school attacking and bloodying him. Wayne stated “Going to a few months later when Swerve and Fox invaded me in the school, training with some of the students and came through, beat up some of the students, beat up some of me. It was down to just them two and me… took a picture of, me and my father that is hung up in the school, bashed the picture frame over my head. A piece of the glass slit the top of my head so deep. I was drenched in blood. The mat was drenched in blood. There was glass everywhere. It was insane. The scar I have on my head, the laceration on my head was unreal. I’ve never lost so much blood in my life. It was terrible. It was terrible. A lot of people were very like, like disturbed by how much like blood I bled, and I remember when my mom first saw me, she like gasped so crazy and screamed at like, you would just guess you saw like a murder.
