HOOK has been absent from AEW since this past May’s AEW Dynamite Spring BreakThru show due to an undisclosed injury. HOOK made a brief surprise appearance at this past May’s Double or Nothing event to help out The Opps, Kenny Omega, & Swerve Strickland in their Anarchy in the Arena match against the Death Riders & The Young Bucks.
A recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live podcast featured HOOK as the guest. One of the topics discussed included HOOK revealing that he has been recovering from a concussion injury and is expected to make his return to AEW soon.
“Yeah, yeah (I’ll be back in AEW soon). I’m recovering from a concussion for those who don’t know but yeah, I’ve been out for a while and I should be back soon, for sure.”
