WWE Announces Ricky Saints Suffered “Laryngeal Contusion Injury”

As noted before, the May 27th episode of WWE NXT featured “All Ego” Ethan Page defeating Ricky Saints to become the new NXT North American Champion. This match was notable for Page hitting a Twisted Grin to Saints onto the legs of a steel chair resulting in Saints dealing with an “injured” throat for the rest of the match.

During Tuesday’s WWE NXT show, WWE provided a medical update stating that Saints had suffered a “laryngeal contusion injury” and he will be out of action for the foreseeable future as a result.

Vince McMahon Sex Trafficking Lawsuit Update – John Laurinaitis Officially Dismissed from Janel Grant’s Lawsuit

As noted before, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in January of 2024 against former TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon accusing McMahon of committing sex trafficking and sexual abuse towards her during her time in the company. Besides McMahon, WWE and former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis were also named defendants in the lawsuit. Laurinaitis was voluntarily dismissed from the lawsuit this past May in return for Laurinaitis helping to provide evidence for Grant’s case against McMahon.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the United States District Court of Connecticut officially dismissed Laurinaitis from the lawsuit on May 30th based on recent court records.

Defendant John Laurinaitis is dismissed from this action with prejudice. The court respectfully directs the clerk to terminate Mr. Laurinaitis from the action.
