Damage CTRL reportedly was recently quietly dissolved as a group in WWE, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that WWE officials made the decision in early May to disband the group following Dakota Kai’s release from the company. Those spoken to reportedly stated that announcers were instructed to no longer to refer any of the remaining members as “representing Damage CTRL.”
It was also reported that the group is not expected to make a comeback for Asuka’ anticipated in-ring return nor are there any current creative plans within WWE to do so.
It was also reported that there is still a possibility for combinations of the group members to team up together again for in-ring competition and the group could potentially be revived in the future.
IYO SKY had remained the only active member of the group at the time of WWE’s decision following Bayley splitting from the group last year, Kai’s release from the company, and both Asuka and Kairi Sane being out of action with injuries.
