Cope Explains Reason for Helping Christian Cage at All In Texas
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois featured Adam “Cope” Copeland explaining his reason for helping Christian Cage at All In Texas.
During the show, Cope came out to the ring and stated that he wants to address a few questions, the first being did he come down to save Christian Cage. Cope answered his own question stating no and called Cage an a-hole. Cope then talked about Cage tried to make his life miserable in AEW and how Cage wanted to cripple him. After some more insults directed at Cage’s jealously and how everything had crumbled around him, Cope stated that he came back at All In Texas to go after FTR.

Cope then talked about his past friendship with FTR and how their Rated FTR trios team and friendship came apart due to FTR started complaining and claimed they were being held back from their tag title aspirations. Cope stated that makes no sense to him. Cope then talked about FTR putting him on the show for four months, time that he doesn’t have as every time he gets in the ring may be his last. Cope then stated that he came back after that time for one thing, and that is to end FTR!

This led to FTR’s music playing but only “Big Stoke” Stokely Hathaway and several security guards came out to the ring. After some insults banter between the two, Stokely stated that if Cope interferes in FTR’s matches or uses his weapon “Spike” against them, then he will be fired.

Stokely then stated “Adam, why don’t you do Stoke a favor and…find a hobby and leave FTR alone?” which Cope responded back stating that Stoke has come out here sounding like an angry Oompa Loopma. Cope then confirmed that if gets near FTR he will get fired but toke never said anything about getting near him. This led to a brawl breaking out between Cope and the security that ended with Cope laying out the security and then did the same to Stoke with a spear.

Julia Hart & Skye Blue Attacks Queen Aminata & Aligns with Thekla
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Julia Hart and Skye Blue forming a new group with Thekla.
Near the end of the $100K Four-way match between Thekla, Queen Aminata, Willow Nightingale, and Kris Statlander, Thekla and Aminata were the remaining two in the ring after Nightingale and Statlander brawled their way to the back. This led to Blue coming out to the ring to distract the referee and Aminata leading to Hart getting in the ring and hit a mist spray attack to Aminata blinding her. This then led to Thekla hitting a curb stomp to Aminata for the pinfall victory.

Following the match, Blue and Hart raised Thekla’s hands in celebration revealing them aligning together as a new group.

Kazuchika Okada Debuts New Entrance Theme Song
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured current AEW Unified Champion Kazuchika Okada debuting a new entrance theme song.
Prior to the start of Okada’s match against a jobber, Don Callis came out and introduced the new AEW Unified Champion. This led to Okada coming out to a new entrance theme song.

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also features several new matches and segments announced for the cards of this week’s AEW Collision show on July 19th and next week’s Dynamite show on July 23rd at the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois.
In regards to this week’s Collision show, it will be taped on Thursday, April 17th.
