Hechicero Reportedly Signed Dual Contract with AEW
LuchaBlog reported that his sources confirmed a recent report from a Reddit user stating that CMLL talent Hechicero has recently signed a dual contract with AEW.
It was reported that AEW officials had planned for the official announcement to be made around their Grand Slam Mexico event this past June but it got held up for reasons currently not known.
I believe this reddit user is correct. Had couple sources tell me Hechicero was signing with AEW. Plan was for it be official around Grand Slam Mexico, got held up a bit, I prefer waiting to be certain to say anything.

Prior to his signing, Hechicero has made several appearances for AEW since January of 2024. Hechicero has also made several appearances for Ring of Honor under Tony Khan’s ownership since February of 2025.
Kenny Omega Reportedly Taking Some Time Off
As noted before, this past Saturday’s AEW All In Texas event in Arlington, Texas featured Kazuchika Okada defeating Kenny Omega to become the inaugural AEW Unified Champion.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Omega is expected to be taking some time off from AEW following All In Texas. It was reported that it is currently unkown if Omega’s time off will be a complete break or if he will make sporadic appearances.
It was reported that Don Callis’ promo referring to Omega as being “dead” at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show was meant to be AEW’s storyline reason for his current abscense.
Jim Ross Says He Suffered Fall Incident Prior to AEW All In Event But Broke No Bones
A recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast featured co-host Jim Ross revealing that he had suffered a bad fall in his hotel room a few days prior to AEW’s All In Texas event but did not break any bones.
“I had a bad fall on Thursday night in my hotel room and boy, I was lucky I wasn’t down for the count. But I had a hell of a fall — It’s like a soft tissue thing. I didn’t break anything I don’t think, but I had a bad fall in my hotel room. I didn’t have my phone because as you know, I had left my phone in the Uber and I didn’t have any way of communicating with anybody. I just went to bed and it was challenging. I’m still sore to this very minute. It was quite the ordeal, that’s the only negative thing that I could say. I had a bad fall and I survived it. I’m still sore as hell. It’s just funny, the older you get, the slower you heal. That’s kind of my situation right now. I’ll be alright.”
