MJF Comments on “This Is The ‘Most Professional’ Tony Khan Has Ever Been Online”
A recent episode of the Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez podcast featured MJF as the guest. One of the topics discussed included MJF’s thoughts about AEW CEO Tony Khan’s change in approach to WWE counterprogramming AEW shows and his online behavior becoming more professional and just focusing on AEW’s success and fanbase.
“I think you’ll notice that Tony’s approach is a whole lot different.
This is the most professional he’s ever been online. He’s only talking about our company. He’s not throwing pot shows. That’s because, the truth is, he really is only focused on our shit. Fully. I will give him credit for that. This is the most in the weeds, as the kids would say, that I have ever seen my boss be in. Right now, we have an insane amount of momentum. As much as I hate his guts, you have to give him credit for that. You have to. We’re a six-year-old company, and we are the second most financially successful professional wrestling company of all time, after only six years. It sounds fake, but it’s not. We had 82,000 people chanting ‘MJF’ at Wembley Stadium, the biggest wrestling show of all time, where I retained my World Championship. Sounds fake, but it’s not. We just did the second biggest show on American soil at Globe Life Field in Texas. Sounds fake, but it’s not. All Elite Wrestling makes professional wrestling better. Point blank. The reason that when a WWE wrestler is getting interviewed and they get asked AEW questions, and the reason why MJF is getting interviewed, he’s getting asked WWE questions is because the fans can’t help but be tribalistic. I think it’s dumb, but by all means do with your fandom what you want to do. What I say is just enjoy professional wrestling. Most importantly, enjoy me because I’m a generational talent and I’m here for a good time, not necessarily a long time. Soak it all in while you can.”

Bryan Danielson Comments on Him Being Unsure He Could “Do What Was Asked Of Him” In His Final AEW Match Due To Neck Pain
Sun Sport held a recent interview with Bryan Danielson. One of the topics discussed included Danielson’s thoughts about how he was not sure he could do what was asked of him in his final AEW match for his full-time wrestling career at AEW’s WrestleDream 2024 event.
“I would think the last match that I had, which was in AEW against Jon Moxley in Tacoma, Washington, which is the building that I saw my first ever wrestling match. The main event was the Ultimate Warrior versus Rick Rude. I was ready to be done, I mean, at that point, my neck had been really bad for six plus months and causing me a tremendous amount of pain. I wasn’t sure that I could do what I was kind of being asked to do. My mom was in the front row. We knew it was going to be my last match and as I’m getting choked unconscious, I see my mom in the front row and then just mouth to her that I love you. This whole career that I’ve had wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my family, and then the fact that my mom got to be there for that is really, really cool. It wasn’t just my mom. My high school friends were there. It was just a really, really cool, special thing, just the emotion of knowing, ‘okay, this is the end of this chapter of my life.’ and I’m not sad about it. Happy that I got to experience this whole thing, and almost kind of relieved that it’s over, because I was in so much pain.”
