AEW CEO Tony Khan reportedly is now holding regular backstage production meetings prior to shows, according to the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez.
Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that Khan has been doing actual production meetings for a while now involving getting the top agents, announcers, and other officials all in a room together to go over things before shows.
Alvarez also clarified how production meetings were held previously in the company stating that while meetings were held to address production issues, they were not what many would consider to be actual production meetings. Alvarez reported that previously, Khan would hold several smaller meetings each with different groups of people throughout the day. Khan reportedly considered this to be his idea of production meetings. Alvarez reported that other people did not consider this to be a real production meeting so Khan is now doing of late what they would consider to be actual production meetings.
Alvarez also reported that these new changes were made months ago and Khan still meets with people individually but brings together a small core group of people backstage prior to the start of shows.
