PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that former TNA and current Major League Wrestling talent Alex Hammerstone is currently believed to have suffered a knee injury at Saturday’s MLW Fusion tapings in Atlanta, Georgia.
Johnson reported that Hammerstone had suffered the injury during his singles match against Matt Riddle. Hammerstone’s injury reportedly is currently believed to have occured when he had performed a pump kick to Riddle into the ring post.
Johnson also reported that MLW officials made the decision to call an audible and end the match after the injury but Hammerstone was pushing to keep the match going.
Hammerstone won the match after catching Riddle in a roll-up for the pinfall victory.
Following the match, Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that Hammerstone was able to walk backstage but he was in pain.
