As noted before, AJ Styles’ contract with WWE was set to expire in early 2025.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources familiar with the situation stated that those close to Styles stated that he had recently signed a one-year contract extension with WWE.
Sapp reported that it is currently not known when Styles had signed the extension nor the current expiration date for his contract.
Sapp reported that Styles had stated in 2019 that when he signed his extension with WWE at the time that it would be his last contract for his active wrestling career. Styles reportedly had talks with the Young Bucks at the time to potentially join AEW but these talks never got serious.
Styles has been signed with WWE since January of 2016.
