WWE Reportedly Had “Full Falling Out” with Travis Scott & Dropped All Plans for Him

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE recently had a full falling out with rapper Travis Scott.

Meltzer reported that this was the reason why Scott was removed as the planned celebrity playable character and replaced with El Grande Americano for the New Wave DLC pack for the WWE 2K25 video game.

Meltzer reported that the reason for the falling out between WWE and Scott is currently not known but this is also why it has been “open season” for WWE talents to knock him publicly.

In regards to the original decision for Scott to be included in WWE 2K25, those spoken to close to the situation reportedly stated that while they do have celebrities in the game, fans have indicated that they would rather have wrestlers than celebrities for new playable characters additions. Meltzer reported that the belief was that by adding celebrities, this may open up the game to fans of those celebrities who have a far bigger fanbase following than a non-marquee wrestler for that spot.

Drew McIntyre Announces He Was Denied Entry Back to the U.S. & Current Stuck in the U.K.

Drew McIntyre announced earlier today on TikTok that he was denied entry to the United States and is currently stuck in Great Britain after traveling there for a wedding this weekend.

McIntyre stated that he was denied the chance to board his flight back home due to the fact he did not have his U.S. passport with him and only his U.K. passport instead.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within WWE confirmed that McIntyre’s situation is legitimate and the company is currently dealing to resolve it.

In a recent interview with Abema, IYO SKY gave her thoughts about the origin of her rapid pointing to her head with both hands signature taunt. SKY stated “This, right? (taunts) It’s me! It’s me! It’s me! It’s me, right? It’s like ‘look at me!’ or ‘I did it!’ It just kind of came out naturally, you know? Then when I did it, people started reacting little by little. So I thought, ‘let’s keep doing it’. Now everyone’s like ‘yay!” (English translation via meraWrestling)

In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, Daria Berenato, former Sonya Deville in WWE, gave her thoughts about how ‘Pure Fusion Collective’ was a terrible name for her former group with Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark. Berenato stated “They just didn’t wanna go back to it (partnership with Chelsea Green). They didn’t wanna go back to it and I had pitched that it would be a natural angle to go after Piper (Niven) and be like, what the hell? B*tch, that’s my f*cking championship! Very natural angle. But they had this idea for this faction and so that was where we were gonna go… While I was out, I did pitch coming back in my MMA gimmick. Like a modified version but I did pitch going back to my roots and I think Triple H had the same kind of idea and he was like, ‘Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. Let’s do this group,’ and when he told me the group, I was like, okay, interesting. I didn’t know how the three of us were going to blend together — me, Zoey (Stark) and Shayna (Baszler) in PFC. So, I was open-minded to it and of course, whatever he wants, let’s do… I saw myself more as the mouthpiece in that scenario and I was like, oh, okay. But we couldn’t get our footing and then we were given the name Pure Fusion Collective and I thought that was terrible. I don’t think it was ever going to be the thing, but, we tried to make it work.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
