AEW Collision Notes: Clon Debut Vignette Airs, Alex Windsor Issues Challenge to Mercedes Mone for TBS Title, TBS Title Match Set for 9/3 Dynamite Show, Jon Moxley vs. Daniel Garcia Set for 9/6 Collision Show

Clon Debut Teaser Vignette Airs on Saturday’s AEW Collision Show

Saturday’s AEW Collision show at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured a vignette teasing the debut of a new wrestler named Clon to AEW.

Following Hologram’s victory over Jay Lethal in a singles match, Hologram’s victory celebration was interrupted after his music and the lights started to glitch out. This led to a video airing showing a holo.gram program being loaded only to quickly corrupt and the words “a Clon activated” being shown. This then led to a mystery evil looking version of Hologram being shown and the word “soon” being shown as the video ended.

The identity of Clon has been long rumored to be Mexican Lucha wrestler Arez. AEW had filed trademarks for “El Clon” and The Clone” in September of 2024.

Alex Windsor Issues Challenge to Mercedes Mone for TBS Title

Saturday’s AEW Collision show also featured Alex Windsor issuing a challenge to Mercedes Mone for a TBS Championship match.

Following Windsor’s victory over Ashley Vox in a singles match, Tony Schiavone got into the ring to interview Windsor for some words about what Mone said about her on Dynamite. Windsor responded stating that Mone is one “pissed off little woman” and is mad because she made her tap and can do it again. After some more words, Windsor issued a challenge to Mone for her TBS title here in Philly and stated she will gladly make her tap again and take the TBS Title off her hands.

This match was later confirmed for next week’s AEW Dynamite show.
