Taz Makes Commentary Return at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the 2300 Arena on Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured Taz making his return to AEW commentary.
This was Taz’s first appearance since the August 13th AEW Dynamite show due to travel-related medical issues over his recent knee replacement surgery.
Will Ospreay Out Indefinitely After Forbidden Door Attack
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured AEW providing an update on Will Ospreay following the Death Riders attack on him at Forbidden Door 2025.
During the show, it was announced that Ospreay is currently out of action indefinitely due to the injury he suffered to his neck following the Death Riders attack on him.
Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. FTR Announced for All Out 2025
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one new match announced for the card of All Out 2025, which takes place on September 20th at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
This new match announced was a tag team match of Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood).
This match was intially setup over recent weeks shows over the bad blood issues between Copeland, FTR, and Stokely Hathaway. During tonight’s show, FTR and Stokely came out to the ring to air their grievances over their loss for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Forbidden Door 2025. This led to FTR and Stokely confronting referee Paul Turner and prepared to attack him only to be stopped by Copeland and Cage who ran out and engaged in a brawl. Copeland and Cage cleared the ring of FTR and Stokely. Copeland then issued a challenge for a tag team match at All Out 2025, which was made official for the show.

Darby Allin Issues Challenge to Jon Moxley for All Out
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one new potential match for the card of AEW All Out 2025.
This new potential match is a singles match of Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley.
This new potential match was setup over recent months shows over the bad blood issues between Allin and Moxley & Death Riders. During tonight’s show, a video aired featuring Allin talking about his recent climb of Mount Everest and how it got him to thinking about his revenge against Moxley and the Death Riders. Allin stated after everything they tried to take away from AEW, he promises to take everything away from Moxley at All Out. During his promo, Allin was seen standing in front of a wall with the words “All Out” written in his blood.

In a follow-up segment, Moxley defeated Daniel Garcia in a singles match leading to the Death Riders getting in the ring and Moxley whispering something to Wheeler Yuta before leaving. Yuta grabbed a microphone and stated that Moxley’s answer to Allin’s challenge was no.

HOOK Makes Surprise Return at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured HOOK making his surprise in-person return.
During the show, Wheeler Yuta was seen still in the ring and gave a promo saying he was not leaving since he still has plenty left to say. After some words about living in this city and the crowd’s foul words chants towards him, Yuta talked about how the fans have done nothing for the likes of Will Ospreay, Chuck Taylor, and Bryan Danielson and boasted about being the one to slay the dragon Danielson. This led to the lights turning out and the HOOK signal being shown and music playing as HOOK came out to the ring making his surprise return.

This led to a brief brawl breaking out that ended with HOOK locking in the Redrum to Yuta.
