“Well, I think we’re rocking a similar dark vibe, and I’m just phenomenal at making friends like that. So I think before you can blink an eye, I’m gonna have the whole evil dark side of the AEW women’s roster on my side. The bad bitches, y’all come, I gotcha.”

Samoa Joe Reveals He Had Suffered Fractured Ankle Injury While Filming Season Two of Twisted Metal
As noted before, Samoa Joe has been absent from AEW since this past July’s All In Texas event due to a storyline injury attack by the Death Riders as a cover for Joe taking a break to do promotional work for the recently released second season of Peacock’s Twisted Metal series.
PWInsider held a recent interview with Joe. One of the topics discussed included Joe revealing that he had suffered a fractured ankle injury during the filming of the second season of Twisted Metal.
“Normally, I would say the ring is always a much more precarious place to be in, but halfway through the season, I fractured my ankle. Nothing crazy — we had done a series of pretty crazy driving stunts and some dangerous things here and there. Then it was just parking, and I had to hop out the back on some really rocky, busted-up asphalt. I turned my ankle and spent the rest of the season taping it up and limping through it. Twisted Metal is incredibly physical — fighting scenes, driving scenes. Anytime that car is driving, you see me in it, it’s me. It’s a demanding role, but spending enough time in the ring as I have, it’s no new territory.”

The lead in, the stakes, the match itself, and then what followed after all became a big turning point for me.“
In a recent interview with The Hashtag Show, “Speedball” Mike Bailey gave his thoughts about him enjoying the on-screen dynamic between him and Ricochet in AEW. Bailey stated “I’m excited to see with who I’m able to build a relationship that portrays on screen for several years, and I think I’m starting to develop that with Ricochet. I’m really enjoying the relationship that we have right now and that he is a pure ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey hater. Just to the bone… Very vocal hater… Professional hater. Black belt — fourth degree black belt in hating.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent interview with The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Bryan Danielson gave his thoughts about how him and PN News doing karaoke all the time during his stay in England in 2003 helped him become a better performer in wrestling. Danielson stated “In 2003, I went to England and stayed there for six months. I did the Butlins Holiday Camp. For people who don’t know what holiday camps are, they are all-inclusive vacations for families, mostly. You pay, let’s say $1000 for a week, but with that $1000, you get all your meals paid for and all your entertainment is included. There are singers that come in, there are magicians, there is wrestling. It’d be the middle of the afternoon and you’d go out there and wrestle in front of people, most of whom are not wrestling fans. They don’t know what they’re watching. I was wrestling with an older wrestler named PN News. I was there because the wrestling part of wrestling has always been easy to me. The entertainment part was very difficult and very challenging. That’s one of the reasons I went over there, to become a better entertainer for people who are not wrestling fans. This guy, PN News, who got blackballed from the American wrestling scene because he stole money out of people’s bags. By the time I was there, I loved him, he was great. Great in the sense that I really enjoyed him as a person. He still had a problem with stealing. He couldn’t walk into a gas station without stealing something. He was awesome. Just a really kind person, at least to me. He said, ‘If you really want to get better at this, what you should do is karaoke.’ He and I would do karaoke all the time and other guys would come and do karaoke. It teaches you to be a better performer, especially when you’re a horrible singer, like me. When you’re a horrible singer, you have to be a good performer, and I learned to become a better performer through doing more karaoke.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
