During the show, Alicia Atout held a backstage interview with The Conglomeration and Paragon about the mystery partner for The Conglomeration’s Trios match against the Don Callis Family. After several references teasing Orange Cassidy as the mystery partner by both Mark Briscoe and Kyle O’Reilly, both groups left. This led to a brief video suddenly airing featuring Clon.

MJF Taking Break from AEW & Says He’ll Come Back More Dangerous Than Ever Before

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured a video airing featuring MJF saying that he is taking a break from AEW but promises to come back more dangerous than ever before.

During the video promo, MJF talked about everything he’s done for AEW over the past few years and all the doubts that have come from it. MJF talked about how something is missing and that he is not MJF but a caricature. MJF talked about the tacks on his body being his doubts and he can’t come back until he is himself again. MJF then stated that he will come back only when he is his most dangerous self.

MJF then took a tack off of himself and talked about eating his doubts up and spitting them out. This led to MJF doing the same with a tack he held up. MJF stated he will be back to do things the only way he knows how whether they like it or not…his way.

Orange Cassidy Makes Surprise Return & Reunites with The Conglomeration

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Orange Cassidy making his surprise in-ring return to AEW.

Cassidy’s return was initially setup during AEW’s All Out 2025 event after Mark Briscoe issued a challenge for a Trios match against the Don Callis Family and said his team would be himself, Hologram, and another member of the Conglomeration that he teased to be Cassidy. During tonight’s show, Briscoe teased again at Cassidy being the mystery person during a backstage interview segment. Prior to the start of the Trios match, Don Callis and the rest of the Don Callis Family came out to the ring. Callis talked about him debuting a brand new painting that he worked on the past week. This led to a large covered painting being brought out to the stage but when the cover was taken off, Cassidy was standing in the frame and the painting itself torn away.

This was Cassidy’s first appearance and match since this past March due to a torn pectoral injury.

Kris Statlander Rejects Death Riders Membership Offer

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander rejecting the Death Riders offer to join their group.

In recent weeks shows, Wheeler Yuta and the Death Riders had been trying to entice Statlander to join their group going as far as having Yuta show up before her matches to give her some advice to win. Statlander teased at potentially joining the group after using his Seatbelt pinning finisher to win the AEW Women’s title at All Out 2025.

Following Statlander’s victory over Mina Shirakawa to retain her title. Wheeler Yuta came out to celebrate as Statlander looked on. This led to Harley Cameron coming out and hugged her best friend Statlander for retaining her title. This then led to the rest of the Death Riders coming out and made their way to the ring to find out if Statlander accepted their offer or not. This led to Yuta raising up Statlander’s hand acting as if she was in the group and Statlander looking at Cameron in the corner as if she was going to attack her. This turned out to be a ruse and Statlander laid out Yuta instead and gave the double fingers to Moxley before leaving the ring all happy to not be around Yuta anymore.

This new potential match was setup over recent months shows over the still on-going bad blood issues between Allin and Moxley & the Death Riders. During tonight’s show, Allin came out holding a flame thrower as the Death Riders were still wondering why Kris Statlander rejected their membership offer.
